Our Commitment to You
I have written these two qualifications in Travel Risk Management for all of us working in this space. The role of a Travel Risk Manager is often misunderstood and downplayed in its importance to an organisation – and the responsibility that an individual has. TRM is an exceptionally important discipline and as such, those doing these roles should be formally recognised for them.

It was a pleasure and a privilege to participate in the 2nd Travel Optimisation Management Summit 2024 follow up webinar. It is always a pleasure to share the screen and discuss travel risk management with some of the best in the business Shaun Boulter and Gary Hurst, wonderfully led by Sara McKenna. Thank you for having me.

Thank you to Carolyn Pearson and Bruce McIndoe as well as the superb moderator Bex Deadman Bex Deadman for allowing me to share the stage with you all today. Very happy to have been a part of this event from the start and also for my employer AXA Partners to sponsor the event.

The launch event for the Travel Risk Academy was such a huge success, Bex Deadman, Simon Crane and Sara McKenna absolutely knocked it out of the park. I can't remember the last time I was at an event with such an engaged audience, and dropping in a tabletop exercise during Sam Cande's presentation on sustainability was a stroke of genius. I'm fairly comfortable with these due to working at Oil Spill Response, but you could definitely see some mild panic on some of the faces in the room when we heard that 'Central London had flooded'.

What an outstanding event today speaking at the Travel Risk Academy TRM event. I have never seen such an engaged audience at a conference. Every single session was enlightening, engaging, provoking and inspiring. Connecting the silos around travel risk management was eye opening for everyone.
